The new management plan continues the long tradition of managing Suomenlinna. The management plan will factor in previous plans on the use and management of Suomenlinna and changes in society. The management plan consists of four parts:
- The past and current situation
- Guidelines for the future
- Action plan
- Monitoring and impact assessment
Work with the management plan is a continuous process to be refined in cooperation with partners. The first part of the work consists of mapping the past and the current situation. The past and the current situation have been broken down into elements to provide a foundation for future development. The elements have been chosen on the basis of feedback received on the previous management plan. The past and current situation consists of the following contents.
